How to Make Spicy Chicken Meatballs?


Serve: 9


  • 750g / 1 lb 11 oz minced chicken

  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped

  • 1 1/2 medium onions, chopped

  • 3 teaspoons curry powder

  • 3 teaspoons ground cumin

  • 3/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garam masala

  • 3 tablespoons coriander, chopped

  • 1 egg, beaten

  • 75g / 3 oz breadcrumbs

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons oil

  • crisp green salad, pitta bread and tomato salsa, to serve


  1. Preheat the oven to 350F.

  2. Use a food processor to process the chicken, garlic, onion, curry powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, garam masala and coriander together.

  3. Add in the beaten egg and breadcrumbs and pulse a few times to mix again.

  4. Divide the mixture into 27 equal portions and shape each portion into walnut-sized meatballs.

  5. Preheat the oil over medium heat in a large frying pan. Add in the meatballs and cook for 6 minutes.

  6. Turning occasionally until they become golden brown evenly.

  7. Remove the meatballs from the pan and transfer onto a baking sheet. Place the meatballs in the oven to bake for 20 minutes.

  8. Remove the meatballs from the oven. Let cool slightly.

  9. Serve with crisp green salad, pitta bread and tomato salsa.
