How to Make Onions Ciabatta Pizzas?


Serve: 6


  • 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 1/2 garlic cloves, sliced

  • 3 large onions, sliced

  • leaves from 3 rosemary sprigs, chopped

  • 15 Peppadew peppers in a jar, quartered

  • 4 1/2 tablespoons black olives, pitted and halved

  • 1 1/2 ciabatta loaves, sliced lengthwise and halved

  • 3 handfuls of grated Cheddar cheese


  1. Preheat the oven to 400F. In a large frying pan, heat the oil.

  2. Add in the garlic, onions and rosemary to the frying pan. Splash some water, cover the lid and cook for approximately 12 minutes to make them soft.

  3. Then remove the lid away from the pan. Increase the heat and continue to cook the mixture for several more minutes.

  4. Add in the peppers and olives. Add in some pepper and salt to taste if necessary.

  5. Arrange the ciabatta on a baking sheet with the cut sides facing upwards.

  6. Spread the mixture over the bread. Sprinkle the cheese over.

  7. Transfer the pizzas on the baking sheet to the oven to bake for approximately 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbling.

  8. Remove the pizzas from the oven. Wait for 15 minutes and serve.
