Facts about Elderflower Herb![]() Elderflower, also called elderberry or just elder, is a great
medicinal tree. Among the parts intended for medicinal uses are the
berries, the inner bark, the bark, the leaves and the roots. The
scientific name for elder tree is Sambucus canadensis, and it has
many different natural chemical compounds, for example albumin,
essential oils and nutrients including vitamin C. A number of health
concerns and complications have been effectively cured for centuries
with various parts of this plant.

Ingredients:
20 heads elderflower
1.7kg granulated sugar,
1.2 liters water
2 fresh lemons
70 g citric acid
Preparation:
Place elderflowers into a large bowl.
Pour the sugar into a pan filled with the water and boil, stirring
frequently until the sugar has fully dissolved.
Peel the zest off the lemons preferably in wide strips and put in
the bowl having elderflower.
Cut the lemons discarding ends, then put slices into the bowl. Pour
the mixture over the hot boiling syrup and add in the citric acid.
Use a cloth to cover it and set aside for 1 day at room temperature.
At the following day strain cordial slowly through a muslin and pour
into totally cleaned glass or plastic bottles with screw on their
lids.
