How to Make Tomato, Red
Onion and Herb Salad?
3 lb sliced tomatoes
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
2 sliced red onions
a handful chopped fresh herbs (mixture of basil, cilantro and
salt and pepper
4 tablespoons vegetable oil (for dressing)
3 tablespoons red wine vinegar (for dressing)
In a shallow bowl, nicely arrange
the tomato slices. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Make rings from the onion slices
and place over the tomatoes.
Sprinkle the herbs over the top.
Mix the oil and vinegar in a jar
and pour over the salad.
Wrap with plastic wrap and
refrigerate for 15 minutes.
Remove the salad from the
refrigerator, unwrap, stir gently and serve.
