How to Make Roasted Bell Peppers?


Serve: 4



4 seeded red bell peppers
Serrano chiles
4 oz fresh green
1 crushed garlic clove
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil


  • Use a sharp knife to cut the bell peppers into thick strips and the chiles into thin strips.

  • Preheat the oven to 400F.

  • In a shallow casserole dish, put in the peppers, chiles and garlic and add in the oil.

  • Cover the vegetables and place the casserole dish into the oven and bake for 1 hour. Make sure the peppers have softened by then.

  • Remove the casserole dish from the oven. Reduce the oven temperature to 350F.

  • Return the casserole dish to the oven. Continue to bake the vegetables for further 40 minutes. Make sure the peppers are soft and about to char.

  • Ready to serve.
